Ingrown nail surgery

The ingrown toenail is a relatively common pathology of the big toe which preferably affects young adults. Surgery is often necessary but the rate of recurrence is high with risks of irreversible functional and aesthetic sequelae.
Among the many surgical techniques described, none is unanimously considered to be the best. As with any dermatological surgery, the procedure should not only be curative but also aesthetically acceptable.
